Giving Bangalore its unique status as the "City of Aeronautics," the Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum at at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is the first aviation and aerospace museum in India. Part of the HAL Heritage Centre, the museum displays magnificent aircraft, including military jets and fighters that showcase the development and growth of the aviation industry in India for six decades.

HAL museum displays of various aircraft and helicopters, aircraft engine models, flight simulators, a mock air traffic control tower, an exhibit and photographs of Indian aviation history and the HAL Museum Wall of Fame.

Aircraft Displays

Experience the exciting world of aerospace in India at the Hal Museum, featuring a unique collection of aircraft, helicopters, and engines. See amazing military aircraft, including jet-powered fighters, bombers, and trainers, as well as advanced light helicopters and prototypes. Check out the HAL Ajeet subsonic jet trainer & light fighter aircraft and Westland Sea King Mk.42 medium-lift transport/utility helicopter.


Museum History

Established in 2001, HAL Aerospace Museum is India's first aerospace museum. Located at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in Bangalore, one of Asia's largest aerospace companies, the Museum is part of the HAL Heritage Centre and showcases the innovation and development of India’s aviation industry for six decades. The growth of HAL from 1940s is shown chronologically through a wonderful exhibition of rare and nostalgic photographs.
